Do I qualify for school?
Qualification for Truck Driver and Bus Driver Training Programs. In order to be accepted into one of our training programs, you must have the following qualifications:
- Be at least 18 years of age or older
- Have a valid driver’s license for at least six months.
- Have an acceptable ten (10) year motor vehicle report.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination
- Pass a DOT drug screen.
- Have a high school diploma or GED certificate. If a potential student does not have a high school diploma or GED certificate, he/she must pass a state approved Ability-to-Benefit (ATB) test with an independent test administrator.
- Acceptable job history, review of resume.
Application or Admission Process
- Initial interview, preferably in person, to discuss your career choices and employment qualifications.
- Review motor vehicle report obtained from DMV. DUI must be at least 5 years old from the conviction date. Cost $5
- Discuss any criminal background information
- Review of stable job history
- Disclosure of any health issues that may impede work ability
- Tuition payment options.
- Pre-hire letters may be required
At CDLC, we will sit down with you and discuss your options. We will discuss the industry and ensure that is a proper fit for you professionally AND personally. If it does not match, we will not recommend for you come to school.
